Why This Matters for Northeast Tennessee

• The region is vulnerable to flooding, severe storms, and other emergencies, requiring proactive community preparedness.

• Many rural areas lack immediate access to emergency services, increasing the need for self-sufficiency training.

• Strengthening community partnerships will reduce response time and improve recovery efforts.

• This initiative aligns with county emergency management goals and can serve as a model for regional preparedness.
